Every year, the GCAL’s methods and procedures are independently reviewed to comply with the ISO 17025 lab certification standards.

· The GCAL founder often certifies gemstones for various governments, insurance agencies, and underwriting services.
· The GCAL has a zero-tolerance 4C’s consumer guarantee. It’s a completely independent third-party grading agency.
· The GCAL has joined the Responsible Jewelry Council. When customers and dealers are in dispute, its reports can be used for arbitration.

The HRD report

HRD (Hoge Raad voor Diamond):
The HRD from Belgium is a leading authority in Europe in diamond grading, education, and equipment. Its certificates are based on ISO standards for diamond grading and are the most popular diamond certification in Europe.

· The HRD issues two sets of numbers for each diamond, one for the customer and one for the girdle of the diamond to guarantee the objectivity of diamond grading.
· The copy of each diamond certificate will be kept by the agency for 10 years. Customers may request certificates from the HRD database.
